Who am I?

My name is Marc Chapon Carbonell, and I was born in Barcelona, Spain.

Since I can remember I have been passionate about sailing. Over the years I have built experience in an extensive number of boat classes. Some I sailed long-term in a committed sailing partnership, in others I joined a team for one-off trainings and championships. Among these I had the chance to train next to many great sailors and coaches who now compete and work professionally at the highest level of competition; as part of the 29er Youth Sailing Team in CN El Balis, in Spain and whilst campaigning on the 49er at the Olympic Sailing Team in CNBPP based in La Baule, France.

During the completion of my Bachelor in Sports Science and Physical Activity, it was only natural for me to move into training younger sailors and sharing my knowledge.

I have always found that sailing is a very comprehensive sport, that requires commitment on a deeper level: mental and physical health and strength of each individual are combined with communication skills for successful teamwork.

Backed up with boat tuning knowledge and an understanding for the natural forces in the environment of the sea.
